Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure. • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close. • Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information, including the completion of reconciliations, A/R collections, accounts payable, etc. • Ensure the Bank Compliance activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner. • Prepares the annual budget and forecasting as needed. • Collaborates with the other department managers to support overall business goals and objectives. • Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures. • Advises staff accountant regarding the handling of non-routine transactions. • Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department. • Provides training to new and existing staff as needed. • Process bi-weekly payroll. • Become the ERP super user and serve as the company administrator.
Experience Required:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting, CPA preferred. Technical Skills and Prior Experience Five to seven years prior supervisory experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area. Experience with SAGE 100 preferred. Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required. Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines. Positive attitude and professional demeanor WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is largely performed in an office environment within a manufacturing facility where one must be aware of the presence of workplace standards including machinery and testing equipment. Job Summary: Plans, coordinates, supervises, monitors, and participates in all phases of daily accounting functions for the Northwest Arkansas Area Command, CSRC/Thrift Store and Corps bookkeeping functions; works with Corps Officers regarding their reports, deposits and expenditures; ensures that bookkeeping transactions are performed in a timely manner and in compliance with established policies and procedures and verifies the accuracy and integrity of books supervises and evaluates the performance of accounting and bookkeeping staff;; prepares various routine and complex budgets and financial reports; processes and verifies personnel payroll and insurance records; prepares for audits (internal and external) and works with auditors during audit process.
Experience Required:
Education and Experience: Two year college or technical school degree in accounting, bookkeeping, business or related field, AND four years experience in the performance of all phases of modern bookkeeping and related work with at least one year in a supervisory capacity, OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
