Hwy 12 Ropgers, AR 72756 Phone: 479-789-5000 Event Description: Wonders of Winter Wildlife (WOWW) Hobbs State Park – Conservation Area - January 21, 2017 If the onset of “cabin fever” is beginning to set in, the Wonders of Winter Wildlife at Hobbs State Park – Conservation Area will set you free. Bring the whole family. Birds N Breakfast: Enjoy some coffee, juice and donuts on us. The University of Arkansas will be catching, banding, measuring and recording data on birds, and then releasing them back into the wild. Local wildlife rehabilitator, Lynn Sciumbato, will give her always popular “Raptor Rescue” program using live birds native to northwest Arkansas. Bird expert and author, Joe Neal, will talk about the “Birds of Beaver”, and Master Naturalist, Ken Leonard, will exhibit an eagle nest model. Memorable, family-oriented programs, craft tables, a short trail hike, and an eagle watch cruise complete the activities. Except for the eagle cruise, all activities will be at the Hobbs State Park visitor center located on Hwy 12 just east of the Hwy 12/War Eagle Road intersection. For your convenience, a food truck will be on site for your lunch needs.
