Event Description: In a society where our every digital and physical step is tracked and accessible to anyone who knows the right questions to ask, protecting your privacy can feel like an impossible task. Find out what compelled renowned security expert Tim MalcomVetter to get himself and his family completely "off the grid," the steps he took to do it, and the price he has paid. His story is a riveting one and speaks how personal privacy intersects with our ability to fully participate in society. Tim has over fifteen years building and breaking systems: red teaming the world's largest commercial organization, consulting with Fortune 500s, hacking everything from mobile apps to fuel pumps, leading e-commerce dev teams, and deploying enterprise security solutions. Tim has several degrees, held a doctoral research fellowship, and several certifications. Tim has presented at Black Hat Arsenal, DerbyCon, ShowMeCon, ArchC0N, several Bsides, Secure World Expo and a handful of developer conferences. This event is free of charge and open to the public.
